“All Quiet on the Western Front” novel by Erich Maria Remarque released in 1929. The novel is devoted to describing the tragic events of the First World War, and about what the young soldiers of the front had experienced, where the main figure is Paul Boymer. The novel is based on the anti-war characterization, where the “lost generation” is provided as the key concept. It describes the life of young people who were not able to live ordinary civil life, because of the trauma they receive in the war. The work was in sharp contradiction with right-conservative military literature, prevailing in the era of the Weimar Republic, which, tried to justify the war lost by Germany and heroize its soldiers.
