Ray Douglas Bradbury is an American mystery fiction and fantasy writer, best known for his dystopian novel “Fahrenheit 451“. The novel was published in 1953 and has won multiple awards like the Commonwealth Club of California Gold Medal and the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
The book is divided in three parts: “The Hearth and the Salamander”, “The Sieve and the Sand”, and “Burning Bright”.
The action is set in an unspecified city and at some unspecified time in the future. The novel presents us a future American society, where the books are out of law and are being burned by the so called “firemen”.
