The House On Mango Street
“The House On Mango Street”- the novel written by the Mexican-American writer Sandra Cisneros in 1984, based on the theme of education. The main story describes life of main heroine of Esperanza Cordero, a young Latina girl, and how she grows up with the inhabitants of Chicago and Puerto Rico. Esperanza decided to “say goodbye” to her poor Latin American neighborhood, and having tried life on the streets. The main topics include her desire for a better life and the importance of her promise to return to “those she left behind”.
