ZapfDingbatsHermann Zapf is a German typeface designer worldwide-known for creating Palatino, Optima, Zapfino and many other remarkable fonts. In 2010 the designer received the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany, one of the most prestigious awards in Germany.
ITC Zapf Dingbats is a common-used dingbat typeface, created by Zapf in 1978. A year before the release, Zapf presented to ITC more then a 1000 sketches of signs and symbols. International Typeface Corporation have chosen 360 symbols and divided them in three series. The typefaces became quickly popular and have been in used in multiple magazines and newspapers.
